Do you know a good quality low cost for kitchen cabinets?

I have to change my kitchen cabinets due to water damage. I have seen home improvement shows where they find cabinets that are not that expensive. I need to know where to buy them. Thanks!

I’m not sure where you live, but we went to Mills Pride (google over the internet for their web page). Beautiful cabinets… all kinds of dimensions and easy to put together and install. Check your local newspaper listing too… some people are selling cupboards that are premade for cheap !!

Check EBAY, Craigslist, etc. Some people who are remodeling their kitchens will carefully remove the old cabinets to resell to someone else. These may be in good condition, just not their style anymore. Or you could look for a Habitat for Humanity ReStore in your area. They sell cabinetry and the like that are sometimes used, but sometimes new (like ordered in wrong finish for a job).Ikea sells flat packed cabinets that you assemble yourself-not really cheap. But it’s cheaper than most home stores assembled ones.

    Hi there,
Recently a client of mine used Ikea cabinets in her kitchen.
I loved the look of them and they seemed on par quality wise with the comparable ones available out there.
Plus, they were very high end looking when they were installed.
Very chic! Probably some of the best low cost cabinets I’ve actually seen over the years.
She used the frosted glass front options with pretty modern squares etched onto the glass.

In speaking with the builder, he said they were easy to install compared to
others he’s worked with. Much like their furnishings, the components are designed for the do-it-yourselfer.

She also said they were affordable. Though, honestly I never discussed actual price as compared to the others available through Home Depot etc. (Mills Pride and the like)

Ikea also has designers who can help you figure out what you need to best utilize your area to maximize space and layout.

I would suggest the following brands:

    >American Woodmark at Home Depot
    >Shenandoah at Lowe’s

They’re actually the same product from the same firm, just branded differently for the two chains. I have them in my home and have been quite satisfied with the quality. Both also have a nice selection of finishes, trims, door styles and accessories.

    Good luck with your remodel.
